Will a Celebrant-Led Wedding Be Legally Recognised?

Let’s clear up one important detail.

In England and Wales, an independent celebrant’s wedding ceremony does not, by itself, legally marry you. Currently you must complete the legal formalities separately, although hopefully this is about the change! This gives you the freedom to celebrate you, in a way that really celebrates you!

If you’re planning a wedding, it’s always worth discussing the legal arrangements with your celebrant so you know exactly what’s involved.

Will It Be Awkward?
